This is a thread for sharing those special gig moments, when you were there and you felt so caught up in a moment that you never wanted it to end. (Extra special moments-of course Keane are always special!!) For me it was during the UIS tour of the Uk, at the O2 in London. I was just blown away by the opening music, which was 'The Iron Sea'. It was such an epic opening, and I've not seen another gig by any other bands, where I was so emotionally overwhelmed by the sound.

Does it look like there are less people that like keane now?. Maybe H&F was such a comercial hit just because of Everybody's changing and Somewhere only we know...

Or you can call it 'makes you pull out your hair/kick the dog/punch the wall'.

Had an accident in my house so I called for an ambulance. Then a person who answered my call was like, "are you asking for an ambulance just because someone fell from stairs?" Yes, I know, but I wouldn't call unless it was an emergency. Then I feared that we wouldn't get an ambulance, the person sounded so reluctant to do his job, although I told him he hit his head and couldn't move. It took me a minute (or a few minutes) to explain to him then he finally said "OK, the ambulance is leaving now."

Sorry for calling at 5:30 in Monday morning, but I still believe I made a right decision. He's been ill for a quite long time and had a brain stroke last year, and he hit his head which started bleeding pretty badly, and he was nearly unconscious and couldn't move. So did I overreact?

I'm stealing this from the Fun & Games 'Question' thread, a question posed by Lonelykeanefan. Malena thought it should have it's own thread too.

My answer...

Saw them the first time at the Tsunami Relief concert at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, 22nd January 2005, never heard of Keane before that. Loads of other greats there too, Manic Street Preachers, Snow Patrol, Heather Small [M People] and my up till then all time favourite artist, Eric Clapton who performed an awesome Blues set with Jools Holland. A truly amazing gig considering it was arranged in only 3 weeks to raise money for the victims of the Asian tsunami on boxing day 2004.

Keane played the 3 biggies from that time, SOWK, EC and Bedshaped, which prompted the obligatory waving of lighters in the air.

Went out and bought H & F soon after that, but only really listened to it properly while travelling by bus to a holiday in Belgium later that year. Totally bowled over by Tom's voice and Tim's awesome talant as a songwriter and musician. The rest is history as they say...................

Does Tom's marching along to some songs affect his vocal performance?

During the past year, we have often seen Tom Chaplin marching along to several songs as the band performs live.

Recently, I have had the chance to read various comments on Tom's new dancing style. Some people claim that his singing is negatively affected by the fact that he keeps marching along to such tracks as Everybody's Changing and The Lovers Are Losing.

If you do not understand what I am referring to, just watch the video below and attentively observe Chaplin.

In your opinion, does Tom's marching along harm his vocal abilities?

Tom Chaplin é o nosso anjo menino de Battle, é aquele que nos faz sonhar, sorrir, fortifica a nossa vida, enriquece o que há de bom em nós, nos dá muito mais do que poderíamos querer da vida. Faz amar a poesia, a música, os grandes sonhos de amizade eterna, e crer nisso.

E são nesses olhos aveludados que se velam de melancolia e ao mesmo tempo alegria e mistério, nestes olhos que parecem sempre estar em busca de algo, que nos prende nesse amor sem fim, é na voz macia e doce que nós nos esquecemos nem que seja por um minuto de nossas dores e começamos a ter esperanças.

Quem conhece sua história, se emociona, se apaixona, se espelha a fazer da escuridão a luz, da amizade uma verdade, de um pensamento uma música, de uma lagrima um sorriso.

Ahhh! Não me pergunte que amor é esse eu não saberia responder é algo que vai além da compreensão humana, nem toda ciência poderia explicar. E como disse “WS” em seu soneto não chame meu amor de idolatria, nem de Ídolo realce a quem eu amo. Apenas sinta e viva Tom Chaplin de alma, pensamento e coração, e é por isso que eu abro este #3# tópico com muito amor, um infinito brutal e delicado amor para aquele a quem todos nos somos os fãns do Tom, Tommy "sem distinção".
