Or you can call it 'makes you pull out your hair/kick the dog/punch the wall'.

Had an accident in my house so I called for an ambulance. Then a person who answered my call was like, "are you asking for an ambulance just because someone fell from stairs?" Yes, I know, but I wouldn't call unless it was an emergency. Then I feared that we wouldn't get an ambulance, the person sounded so reluctant to do his job, although I told him he hit his head and couldn't move. It took me a minute (or a few minutes) to explain to him then he finally said "OK, the ambulance is leaving now."

Sorry for calling at 5:30 in Monday morning, but I still believe I made a right decision. He's been ill for a quite long time and had a brain stroke last year, and he hit his head which started bleeding pretty badly, and he was nearly unconscious and couldn't move. So did I overreact?

2. Be respectful of ALL members. Racism will not be tolerated anybody acting in a racist manner will be immediately banned forever from keanemusic.com. Please do not post anything abusive, vulgar, harassing, obscene/profane, sexually graphic/lewd, or threatening. It is important to keep in mind that chatting online is very different from chatting face to face, so please take the time to think before you post!

3. Be respectful of the Band. Constructive criticism of the band is fine, but personal attacks are not. We also ask that you do not post information regarding the band's personal lives. This includes paparazzi photos, pictures of Keane's family, home locations, etc, as well as photoshopped or "doctored" photos of Keane. Fan fiction is also not allowed on this board, and if posted, will be removed.

4. Spamming, chain letters, pyramid schemes, solicitation, trolling and advertising are strictly prohibited in all areas of the forum.

5. Please respect image size limitations when posting pictures on the board. We ask that you post images no larger than 200x400 pixels. Images larger than this size will need to be made into thumbnails. For information on how to make thumbnails, please see the tutorials posted in the Tech area of the forum. We also ask that you respect the copyrights of photos; it is best to ask permission before using someone's photo, as well as to give them credit for their photo.

Figured we could use a thread to vent!

My gripe today is schools not having enough room for all of their teachers. Last year, one of the two schools I teach at decided to turn my choir room into a spare computer lab, so I have what are essentially countertops around the perimeter of my room with computers on them. Well today, my first day back from summer, I found out that I have a roomie. The Algebra remediation teacher is now going to be sharing my room. We both teach at both of the middle schools in the county and we'll be at each school on opposite days so we won't be in the room at the same time, but now not only do I have the counters and computers, plus four risers, my piano, and a ton of chairs, I now have a large teacher's desk in my room which is in the spot where I stacked all my chairs. And I've got a lot of kids signed up to do chorus this year; we're going to be crammed in even tighter in that room now than last year. Plus my room is the hot spot anyway; since it's used as a computer lab classes go in there frequently to use the computers, which got real fun last year when right near spring concert time I was kicked out of my room for a week and a half for SOL testing, and then the strings program uses my room after school, along with other random stuff that goes on when I'm not there. So anyhoo between that, having to get up hella early to go back to work, beginning of the school year stress and then not being able to access the new board at work (which is a whole 'nother story) I was not in a very happy mood earlier today.....

Yes, here it is! I know it will be a bit quiet on this front for a while, what with David Tennant doing other stuff, but read this about the Christmas episode:

The name of this year's Doctor Who special has been revealed. The Next Doctor will see David Tennant teaming up with guest star David Morrissey - the Doctor of the title - to fight the dreaded Cybermen in Victorian London. According to writer Russell T Davies, the episode will open with our hero dashing to the rescue of a damsel in distress - only to be beaten to it by a dashing hero (Morrissey), also calling himself The Doctor. Also stars Dervla Kirwan.

Hi, I was in London the other week and decided it would be a good time to finally make the little 'pilgrimage' lol to Keanes' home town, Battle, in East Sussex, its a lovely little country town with friendly locals (I got chatting to the barman at the Abbey for hours about Keane), Anyhow I apologise if the photos deteriorate in quality towards the end, I decided to try the Kents Best and ended up on a min pub crawl, ending up in the pub Im 'told', where the boys used to go quite frequently, cant remember its name, its on the way to the railway station, oh and as well as being home to the best band ever, apparently there was some sort of skirmish there too in 1066 (ha ha)....Enjoy...

i was happy to meet a few of boardies form the forum board recently and it got me thinking about the whole 'boardie' and another term used before all the messageboards and stuff such as 'groupie' which holds another kind of connotation. there's also the fangirl or fanboy label too. how do you all feel about these titles? i am curious because it seems like "the internets" is creating these new identities for music fans. any thoughts?
