Quick couple of questions:

1) in the inbox, is it right that we see the mesages we've sent in the same place as the ones we receive? Is there no way of seeing if you have new messages without having to go into it?

2) What's all this adding friends business? What does it actually do?

3) Am I the only one to find this forum running slow?

4) What is the picture of two little people by my username all about?!! They're making me feel uncomfortable!

Any help/advice/comfort would be grand!

Cant access videocam anymore?

For some reason, I am no longer able to access the recent Bethcam on the system, or any other videocam posts, it just gives me a big green box with a symbol in the top left? Can someone tell me why? Thanks

when i changed my avatar i seem to have lost the bar with the smilies etc. also unable to attach links to posts or skip down to the next line. is there anyway to return this back to normal please. thanks

for some reason on my main computer i can't sign in on the forum. i will sign in on the keanemusic page then go to the forum and it won't let me go into anything! does anyone know what to do?

when replying to messages

i've noticed that when some people reply to messages, their reply is actually within the "box" they're replying to rather then being in a box of their own (if you know what i mean?!). How do you do this? I can't see anything about it in the Help section.

Also what do the different coloured stars and pen signs mean on each post?

Why isn't my posts approved yet

Hey there everyone!

Don't know if this is actually the right place to ask but am I the only one having the problem that my posts aren't approved for a very long time...I mean, it's not so serious yet, but usually they are approved after just a few hours, sometimes a bit faster really and now...I posted a looong post in the Swedish forum yesterday morning and it hasn't been approved yet and I'm not the only one, I've spooken to two others with the same thing. Is there something wrong with the forum or haven't you got the time to do it yet? If so, it's ok, but I was just wondering a bit since it's taking much more time than usuall and I'm kinda desperate to tell everyone in there how amazing the Copenhagen gig was.

Hoping you can help me out a bit here! Thank you!

Hi, not sure if you can help me or not here. A while ago, I stupidly downloaded some smiley software that someone on the blog had mentioned was good. I loaded it from a web address she'd given. I noticed that night that I started to receive lots of advertisments coming up on my PC (having received none at all before loading the smiley software) so I knew it was because of that. I deleted the software off my PC the same night but these ads keep on coming up which are a huge nuisence. Do you know how to stop them? Your help would be much appreciated as I am seriously losing my patience with these stupid ads P.S. These smilies are fine from the Keane blog, it was some software which had smilies doing wierd and wonderful things! I stupidly thought it was a good idea at the time!! Thank you.

Forum Rules

After taking Vic!'s advice under the More Options Tab > Show All .. for threads etc., I realized that the Forum Rules (under Announcements) were just recently posted again on 6/10/09. Matter of fact, they've been posted 4 times now. Was there any update?

And if there are updates to the forum rules, I'd like to request that some sort of note be on the post (either in the subject line or bolded inside the actual post, or something) to state that there has been some sort of update or modification. Please.

I'm working on my site right now and because I'm just an ordinary noob every change I make might trigger a bunch of errors behind the scenes. That's why I check the W3C validator every once in a while.

I checked a few other sites (Coldplay, U2, Keane, Travis etc.) and to my surprise KM.com is the ONLY one turning out 100% error free! This basically means that every bit of coding is exactly the way it should be and that it should give the same results in every browser available. The site might look weird to many of us, or even ugly or unprofessional, unconventional etc. etc. But at least it's consistent in its oddness and the people behind KM.com know what they're doing.

Anyone know where I'm going wrong? I can't seem to respond to the photoblog or Tom's interview today. Whenever I press "comment" at the bottom to type something, it comes up with "comment cannot be empty, please enter some text and try again". what does this mean and why can't I type anything in there anymore? Is it just me or is anyone else having same problem? And am i alone in hating computers?!

For all those having trouble, and i suppose for future reference if this happens again. Go to http://www.keanemusic.com/video.php and you should, despite the black background, find the log in option, its how I managed to get on this morning

I'm having trouble changing mine.
I know how to upload one and I got it working, but when I go and change it, it doesn't recognize that it's a different avatar. Just keeps the same one that I uploaded a lot earlier.

I asked someone else to try and change theirs to see if it worked and they're having the same problem so it's not just me.

[EDIT] Umm, nevermind, it's working now... but I can't delete this post! Sorry!

like i did with my copy of Perfect Symmetry, but i don't know how do it, since there is no autorun

in the CD...

Archive Performance Pictures

I have been posting pictures of the Keane concerts my family has been to in the Archive section of the Keane website. Slowly, but, surely, the dates of the performances are being added so Keane fans can upload pictures and comments. I have many pictures from one of Keane's performances that I would like to post, but, the date in which they performed in 2006 is missing. Does anyone know how I can contact the webmaster to add this date and performance location? Any help is much appreciated.

How is this done. I've used the browse button to access my picture on my computer, which is a jpeg file, but it keeps telling me it is the wrong file type ! and I can't see a way of downloading from photobucket

Forum Problems

Why is KM using such a 'noob'-forum when there are so much other forums which work on a more user friendly way.. Just a few things:

- Everytime I go to the forum I have to logout on the frontpage and again login.. Very irritating.. It keeps me away from the forum (and not only me, I think)..
- Why a reply button on each post and not a direct quote button and a reply button on the bottom and top of every page with posts.
- On the search function: the results are on a dark background with black text? Like wtf?
- PM's: all the sent and received messages in one box.. don't call it inbox then, but PM Conversations or something like that.
- Where can I set how the time is shown.. I like the 24h clock, not the am/pm system.. In the old forum there was an option to change that.

These are just a few things, the most annoying ones. Is there any webmaster/webdesigner/coder on this forum who can fix this? And I read somewhere that KM/Universal has paid a lot for this website/forum.. Well, I hope it isn't true, they are really deceived then.. The people who have made this forum have to shame themself's.. Bad Design, Bad Layout.. It isn't just working the way normal forums do..

I hope there wil be soon some changes, because KM has a large community who are posting on the forums..
