Hi Everybody!

Oh I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I can't believe that Keane are going to be coming so near to my hometown!!! I am a 30 minute drive away!!!! I have been to the Cornbury Festival a few times over the years, but I have never been this excited about it before!!!!! HA HA!!!! It is a great venue and it is very well organised! There is plenty of car parking available, so no panic there!!!! Thank you a million times Keane for adding this festival to your tour! xx

Kenwood House transport from Hampshire area

Hi - my friend and I are off the Kenwood House in August to watch Keane, we are travelling from Portsmouth and were thinking of hiring a minibus and driver and wondered if anyone else was interested in using the bus?? At least you can have a drink and don't have to rush to catch the train. Not sure of costs yet as don't know what size bus but please contact me if you think you might be interested mandybentley@msn.com thanks

Are we still on the Strangeland tour?

Hi fellow fans,

Just browsing the band's Wikipedia pages and noticed the Strangeland tour page lists all the upcoming gigs this summer:

I see the South American gigs last month all followed the same Strangeland set list from last year, bar 1 or 2 variations, e.g the last gig

I went to two Strangeland gigs last year and am thinking of going to Cap Roig Girona in August, but I wish they would change the set list a bit more, as the thought of watching the same set again for a third time in August is making me think twice.

I hadn't heard anything recently on the set list for upcoming gigs e.g. from Rich on Twitter, but was half hoping it might change a bit this summer. The Wikipedia page above seems to suggest it won't be, although I've no idea if there is anything official informing the author.

Not wishing to criticise my favourite band, and completely understand that it's not easy fiddling with the set. I watched an interview with the band in South America last month and they were asked if they would play Atlantic. Now Atlantic is up there in my top 2, it's probably my number 1, I'd be ecstatic if I heard it at a gig. But the boys explained they haven't played it for years, and Jesse would need to learn it ( he joked "I've never even heard of it" which I thought was hilarious, love his sense of humour :-) ). So I know it's not easy, takes rehearsal, etc., and I know a lot of thought goes into the set list to try to please most people at the gig, many of whom are not "fans". But I was really pleased to see them add Perfect Symmetry to the South American tour set last month, so I live in hope :-)

Anyway, rant over :-) Even if the set doesn't change at all for Cap Roig I'll probably still be there, even though can't really afford it - LOL - and I'll still have a brilliant time :-)

If anyone happens to know anything I don't about the set please post.

I Cant wait, it's a beautiful location and we are holidaying locally when they are there..

I've driven to Detroit (2010 I think), Bethesda, Maryland (June 2012) and now Columbus, Ohio (2 days ago) to see Keane shows. Each one gets better than the last. Columbus was an OUTSTANDING performance by Keane. Their talent is remarkable and I can't imagine wanting to listen to 20+ consecutive songs of any other band right now - EVERY Keane song played was great!!! You guys deserve all the credit in the world for your music! And the way you mix it up in concert between slow songs and fast songs makes it even better. This last trip I took my mother along (she's 70 years old!) and she even loved the performance. Her favorite song was "Hamburg Song" - what a beautiful number.

Anyway, the "Strangeland" album gets an A+++++++ from me. I was a little concerned after following up the "Night Train" album, which I think scared a lot of fans as to what direction the band was heading, but you guys sure decimated any doubt from me when I heard "Strangeland". You are back to form and sounding better than ever! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider a tour stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for your next USA tour, especially if it follows another new album with the musical genius portrayed throughout "Strangeland". Now I can't decide which album is best - "Hopes & Fears", "Under the Iron Sea", "Perfect Symmetry", or "Strangeland". What a problem to have, right? Keep up the phenomenal music, gentlemen, because you have amassed tons of fans worldwide who appreciate great music and absolutely LOVE what you do and who you are!!!

I'm trying to put together a list of songs that were played before the live shows this tour.

Off the top of my head, I remember:
"When Doves Cry" - Prince
"Why (12" Mix)" - Carly Simon
"Hang Me Up to Dry" - Cold War Kids
"That's Not My Name" - Ting Tings

ETA: "Modern Love" by David Bowie
"Handle Me" by Robyn
"Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads
"Paper Planes" by M.I.A.

I think I also heard "Kids" by MGMT, but I could be wrong. - CONFIRMED.

Can anyone help?

ETA again: I blame Tom for buying a Robyn CD. Half of it was palatable Eurodance, the rest was awful.

21 Years in the Making

You inspired my husband to TOTALLY surprise me. The first "total" surprise in 21 years--that he pulled off from beginning to end! He had to make arrangements for our 2 children so that the two of us could have a date in Minneapolis--which is an hour away from our hometown. He took me to my sixth Keane concert. The concert was at 1st Avenue in Minneapolis. Of course, beforehand, we went to a very nice restaurant. And, for your information and in response to your comment about the frigid MN air, we were able to go more than 1 block in the cold weather to hear YOU. :) Your music is amazing to me. I am a huge fan. I've listened and followed you for 9 years now. It would be a dream of mine to get a response from you.

Keane in Poland - when!?

Why Keane has not never visited Poland? They were in Germany, even in Czech Republic, which is a smaller country than PL. A lot of polish people wait for their concert, but they miss us. Are we worse than other fans? That gets me upset, KEANE!

This is the last gig of the U.S. tour. Its also my home gig. I personally dislike RCMH just cos its seated. We are planning a boardie meet up prior to the gig. It will be held at McCormick & Schmick's on 52nd Street betweeen 6th and 7th Ave, meeting at 5pm. I was surprised that it is only a 3 hour drive from here in Northwest Arkansas. Dallas is 5 hours. Wish I could do both !!!!! I read reviews on Midland Theater, and they sure didn't give ANY good reviews. BUT..........WHATEVER...... All I care about is FINALLY seeing KEANE !!!!

I got my tickets this morning! It was totally different from the last pre-sale for the summer tour in which i got shut out of and had to wait for general on sale. So excited to see them again! Kind of a bummer though that this show is will call only for the pre-sale tickets.

I'm very excited, though. I have only been to a handful of concerts in my lifetime and while they were all very enjoyable, I've never been to a concert for one of my favorite bands.

The SONG Strangeland Live

Has the guys finally played the SONG Strangeland Live yet? In its entirety! I don't mean as a short prelude to "On The Road", but actually a complete version of Strangeland. It is such an iconic and important song off of the new album, yet they haven't graced us with a full live version yet. I've been waiting for close to a year now - this is a complete travesty!
