• Re: KM homepage

I assume it is easy for them to forget that while Keane is on their back burner there are still a lot of fans out there for whoom they are still the number one band I've no doubt they are still selling records to new fans as well so it would be wise for them to remember their roots and at least have someone in their PR team update the site ...

  • Predictible gig moments

Just wondering what else to add to those moments that you just know will occur at a Keane gig......Tom saying "we're going to take it up one more notch"............Tim standing up and applauding the audience whilst actually not looking at them.........Richard's crowd shot moment................. everyone singing (shouting) along ...

It seems to me the whole forum is getting neglected now looking at the amount of spam that's not getting removed :-(

  • Re: Tom's solo thing
I read on Twitter that the cd isn't to be expected before beginning of 2015. And Tom plans to tour his solo cd. It's not going to be his version of UTIS. And I was very happy to read that.
Hmmm..the bad news about that is it looks like there will be nothing happening Keane wise for at least two ...

  • Re: QOTW: Strangeland - A Sonic Progression?

I only used the words "H&F-esque" because to me Strangeland is Keane doing what they did on H&F and what they do best, that is writing and playing decent catchy pop tunes// If there is such a thing as "normal progression" for a band then I believe Strangeland would have been the natural succession to H&F. It has ...

  • Re: QOTW: Strangeland - A Sonic Progression?

If by "safe" you mean they return to the sound that turned so many people onto Keane in the first place then maybe yes. Though I prefer to think of Strangeland as H&F-esque but much more polished and refined I've seen supposed music critics slate Strangeland for being "safe" but just what do they expect? if a band ...

  • Re: The Graham Norton Show

I thought Tom looked a little uncomfortable in the interview, not sure why but he just wasn't his usual confident self that I've seen in previous interviews?

  • Re: Your Keane Album Top 5 Order & Why -

No1 - Hopes and Fears Sorry to be so predictable but it is what turned me onto Keane in the first place and to have any album that is 10 years old yet I can still put it on and listen from start to finish must mean something (I only have one other album in that category and that is Setting Sons by the Jam)// ...

  • Re: Tom's solo thing

Indiegirl, adding to your thoughts on singers who have left bands and become successful solo artists. (From my era) alongside Sting I would also add Weller and latterly Morrissy While there is no doubt that each one of these has become successful in their own right, I believe they also lost a lot of of the "edge" they had when in ...
