I read this great book recently called "After Visiting Friends." It is a true story that takes place in Chicago, It is what I would call a "quick read," I read it in 2 days without really trying.

I'm happy tp see this thread revived - even though I have never posted on it before.
b0red welcome back. Why did you stay away so long? I am not one to talk, though. The last time I signed into the Forum before today was Janurary of this year. I guess it all happens on FaceBook these days. I HATE FaceBook. ...

Last night in Portland, Oregon they played "I Would Die 4 U" from Prince.
This is the first time I heard it played prior to a Keane show.

This is not exactly a song spot, but I was watching 60 Minutes tonight where there was an interview with director Judd Apatow. They filmed a scene at his old high school in New York and there was a UTIS poster on the wall in the background.

I can't see it, I guess it is because I am in in the US. I'd like to see it.

[quote user="justanotherdawn"]It says so much that this election doesn't have its own thread here. Are our US voters on km still predominantly Democrats?

LOL! I am. I call myself Left Coast for a reason.

Silenced By the Night at Bartell's (a drug store.)

Fantastic show in Vancouver! They were amazing that night. I was also thrilled by the opener,Civil Twilight. I had missed them at Bumbershoot the day before

[quote user="justanotherdawn"]Good to see a reviewer that really gets the point. Except maybe for the Essex bit.

LOL - I did not notice the Essex slip.... I was so thrilled to read a positive Keane review from my hometown, I overlooked it.

In Seattle & Vancouver, they played "I Fought the Law." I'm not sure which artist's version was played, though. The song has been around since
1959, and has been covered by numerous artists over the years. To name a few: The Clash, Green Day, The Dead Kennedys and Bruce Springsteen.
