  • Re: Sooooooo If Tom wasnt doing a Solo CD would that mean another Keane CD?

I wonder how many songwriters are recognised at age 40... i think the music industry has changed completely.. Tom is already from a band that is deeply unfashionable, I can't see his album being critically acclaimed...

  • Re: QOTW: Strangeland - A Sonic Progression?

Neither, it is a parody of Hopes And Fears,  or how a Keane covers band might write album of Hopes And Fears tracks, i.e. all of the elements but none of the emotion. If you look at certain tracks in the right sunlight, you can almost believe that they could be from Hopes And Fears, but looked at in a different light and you see they ...

[quote user="indiegirl1980"] It's very rare for people to still be friends with their best friends from childhood. The core group of TTR have done well to have made it through school, uni, young adulthood, twenties and into thirties still knowing each other, let alone be on good terms. I think the fact that all their parents ...

i had to read up on their fued.. from four years ago... but bad to be digging that up again, I'm not a huge kasabian fan, (they are leicester lads, so I suppose there's a bit of hometown loyalty) but it just seemed random, given it was SO long ago.

  • Is it me or is Tom coming across as a d!ck on twitter....

Gonna put this here as though its Keane related, its not actually Keane. So every now and then I see a Tom Chaplin quote come up on my feed (i don't follow him.. they get re tweeted.. nothing he's said so far has convinced me to follow him) and one of his tweets made me investigate his timeline/thread and he does seem like a right ...

[quote user="indiegirl1980"]  Goodness me, silentbob, you've written an essay. You've gone berserk mate! :-) I'm joking, you have a real way with words and I loved your description of Atlantic, very witty.and 5.A really controversial choice this Under The Iron Sea UTIS now suffers from what I call Back To Black ...

  • Re: Is the Keane Forum dying?

Yup, the review of Night Train was straight up deleted.. I was told the record company didn't want these reviews on the site before the release of the record. But then as a fan that kind of alienated me from this site, and perhaps tainted my experience as a Keane fan, I suppose I wouldn't want negative reviews of my work on the ...

Hmmm...  I sometimes wonder generally about life and wonder whether you can spend too much time with some people, for instance most of us have a work life and a home life, and the two don't generally mix, we have work friends who after you move on you never really speak to again, not that you wish them ill or anything, ...

Been on this forum since 2008 but have only really posted from time to time here.. i do get what you mean about  the "anti keane" sentiment, I almost got banned when Night Train came out for posting a review saying it wasn't any good before it came out. - I got an advance CD. This despite the fact that there were ...

  • Your Keane Album Top 5 Order & Why -

So...   Number 5 - Has to be NIGHT TRAIN  This is an EP and it is desperately disapointing I only played it a few times after it was released, and always skipped over a couple of tracks I tended to burn CDs with a couple of tracks from this EP, didnt like Stop For A Minute.. Clear Skies was passable.. as were a couple of other ...
