• Re: Tom's solo thing
Also, as to why it is so close to the Keane, sound, I imagine it must be very difficult for a musician, and for a singer in particular, to strike out in a completely different direction having spent so long in such a successful band. To pick just one example, both Liam and Noel Gallagher stuck very ...

  • Re: Tom's solo tour..
So many lead singers sing their previosu band songs...McCartney, Sting, .....as mentioned before, Harket from a-ha did it for a couple of years. But recently there were no a-ha songs in his setlists, mainly because he has 6 solo albums to choose from! 4 of them released while in a-ha. And fans stopped asking him ...

  • Re: Richard solo project?

Jesse sang on Mt. Desolation, so um yeah.. they could do an album together.. don't ever get the feeling Richard is that bothered by it all, quite happy in his non music life.

  • Re: How would you feel if.....

I do always find it kinda strange that Richard just hibernates between albums.. like he hasn't got much interest in writing or anything, he's on his bike (literally). I wonder what musicians do when they aren't "working" I couldn't take a year off and not go crazy, ok I suppose you find a life of sorts pottering ...

  • Re: Keane to Break up?? (According to The Sun)

Did i say something in here about a new Keane album in 2016... or was it 2017... looking at the fact Tom's album doesn't seem anywhere near done, can we expect him to release it in 2015? Does he even need to.. if its mid 2015.. and he spends a year touring/promoting, which he would need to do unless its a complete flop..  it ...

  • Re: Cannot believe I'm writing this...
I dunno, feel that at the age of 34 I really should be thinking about other things, not sure what though. Career development and money and having babies, probably.
There's a great line in a movie called Liberal Arts, which goes "Nobody feels adult, its the world's dirty ...

  • Re: Tom's solo thing

Wow... just heard this.. (ain't been round here for a while) and my thoughts are..  the keys sounds like a pop version of Atlantic what the hell are those "ooo's" behind everything.  why has he stayed so close to the Keane musical shoreline.. his voice apart this could be a b-side from strangeland musically. ...

  • Re: Tim solo album...??
One day, I heard a song on the radio which had a kind of funky beat to it and a chorus of 'oohs' which put me in mind of the Rolling Stones's Miss You. That's nice, thought I and I was amazed to discover it was ED SHEERAN of all people. What, Ed Sheeran, who did Lego House? What I'd ...
