I am in my forties but go to Keane gigs with my nine year old daughter who loves their music. I feel comfortable at the gigs because there are all age ranges and am surprised to see how wide their appeal is-there were couples and whole families there, all riveted to the boys. Keane's music will last for a very long time I think, because it isn't just for one generation. Good music is good music full stop. (but when I see the Jonas Brothers with my daughter in November, I will feel my age.....)

I'm in my late 50s - discovered Keane 3 years ago now, thanks to my daughter leaving Hopes and Fears lying around. Buying tickets for Keane's Ally Pally Concert was the first time in 35 years that I'd been to a rock concert. I thought I'd feel completely out of it, but I was pleasantly surprised at the age range there, and have never looked back!  When  I go to the Island gig on Saturday it will be my 7th time of seeing Keane.  Their music seems to strike a chord with so many types of people of all ages, genders and nationalities. To me they have an indefinable something that only really great artists have.

I'm nearly 15, but I'm probably one of very few Keane fans at my school. Its a damn shame how 90% of girls my age are into manufactures poppy rubbish, I have noone discuss REAL music with!

Me too! 15 in July Big Smile And it upsets me that hardly anyone our age even knows who Keane are. If I right 'I LOVE KEANE' on my pencil case they're all like 'is Keane your boyfriend'. It's makes me feel slightly more unique though, which is nice. Makes me feel like I'm part of some secret club and everyone else is missing out on something amazing and when Keane get recognised as one of the best British bands ever I can be all like 'I told you so!'.

I'm 34, and was glad to see a wide age range at the Boston show last week.

My husband (who is 38) and I went to see Franz Ferdinand earlier this month and the show was full of college students.  No offense to those in their early 20s, but boy did that make us feel old.  Surprise

I'm in my early twenties, and still felt rather old at the Keane gig in January—I know there were plenty of people my age or older there, but we were standing near the front and it seemed to be packed with people still young enough to be drinking illegally Wink

Interesting thread. I'm 42 and go to gigs with either Mr Fatbird,He's 47, or youngest daughter who is 18. One thing (of many) I adore about Keane gigs are the bored looking guys who have been dragged along by their wife/ girlfriend. These men stand with their hands in their pockets, looking totally fed up,like they'd rather be doing something manly with an engine or a football. Then the music starts and these blokes know every single word of every song, they sing, they shout, they clap for the whole night! My husband is one of these menBig Smile

My Mr Dawn is a bit like that too. We're both in our forties and he talks to friends and family about my Keane habit as though it's some wild eccentricity. But somehow he always insists he's coming with me...

I'll be 41 in a month, and have been enjoying Keane since 2005.  I love seeing fans of all ages at Keane shows!

My hubby is just like that!!! He kept saying "you own me big time" because he was taking me to the gig and when it started he sang his heart out and knew all the lyrics (including the songs from PS). And at the end he said It was an AMAZING concert!! I was very proud!! Big Smile

    I´m 30 by the way...

LOL it's always nice to see that kind of men at the concerts, at first they look like they don't want to be there and at the end they're buying the concert t-shirt Big Smile

I'm 24 Wink  I don't know many people my age, or actually any age for that matter that have ever heard of Keane.  Everyone and their mother has heard EC and SOWK, but don't know Keane Confused  It's sad!

At the show I saw a huge age range.  Mostly people in their 20s, but I saw a few 50-somethings and 2 little kids :)

My thoughts exactly! I've tried to get a couple of my friends to like it but they would rather go back to listening Girls aloud or something! Its a bit of shame, it means I can never go to keane, travis and coldplay etc gigs with my friends :(. But yeh it does make me feel a bit unique - they are definetly missing out!

Those people can't call themselves REAL music fans! Bands/artists like the sugarbabes don't write their own stuff and loads of them can barely sing! Most of the really mainstream stuff that they like sounds good after 1 listen but then it gets boring after hearing it more than 6 times. Keane sounds good at first but the more you listen, the better it gets!
