Looks like they had a great time in NA. Now music festival season has come.

This year the line-up is rather ridiculous (I wasn't impressed at all), but now I wonder when we will get a chance to see Keane, Beyonce and Ne-Yo in one day? (and Lady Gaga too, but only in Osaka.) I believe this is worth a new thread.

Keane are performing on the main stage. Most of the line-up is revealed, but no time table yet. I guess Keane will be on the stage around 2~4 PM.

The ticket price is expensive comparing to music festivals in other countries, and it is likely that Keane are playing less than 1 hour. I don't recommend this festival if you have other festival to see Keane.

What if the piece of information we didn't have in the first place, is that the script is written in Japanese and Tom was the only one to be able to translate the Japanese text into English? LOL That would explain Tim and Richard's nervousity fearing he would not make it to the end... I've heard an audio gig in Tokyo during which Tom speaks very good Japanese!!!

 Hey girls, are U excited about the gigs at all?

I'm sorry to say this but today's Osaka show was the worst Keane gig I have been to. ;( There was nothing wrong with Keane, but the sound was beyond terrible. Bass level was so bad it turned to be noise. ;( I'm guessing again, but Keane noticed that too. It was visible. So frustrated and sad to see them suffering that situation. How do you think if the sound you are making is damaging the performance? Poor Jesse, and Tim for his bass synthe during Spiralling. But it looked like Jesse enjoyed this at the end of CB; he used the noise like fading-effect.  I saw you smiling, Jesse! Maybe Summer Sonic thought Keane didn't have any bass player so they forgot to tune the bass sound correctly? But I remembered this stage (ocean stage) has been like this for years. Not an ideal stage for a band like Keane. ;(

Even excluding the above point, it wasn't good for Keane. I'm sorry but the crowd were not into the gig. Tom hesitated for a moment whether to direct the microphone at us during SOWK and he decided not to. (This was visible too. ;( ) During IIAW? Tim had a difficulty in switching the effecters for CP-70. He couldn't change it with his left foot so he used his left hand. What was wrong with this stage?

The performance was short, but I was so relieved when it ended. This was a torture to me, and I'm sorry for Keane. ;( They deserve better than this. My face during the gig was literally this ";(" I couldn't smile or sing along. I hope Tokyo gig will be better for them.

By the way, regarding the other acts I liked ELEPHANT KASHIMASHI. I will see them at Tokyo again. :) Oh, Lady Gaga was impressive. The show was so loud, as if to win over the noise and say "f*ck this!" lol That was a clever move. It worked and the crowd went "woooowwww". She changed the place into something different. It was quite a show.

Oh if you think today's performance was good, why don't you post your review? I hope to see more Japanese here in this forum.

Thank you Satomi for your review. That seemed bad...as a start of Asia gigs. I love Jesse's bass performance, I hope it'll be better in Tokyo and other shows. =)

BTW, how's the temperature there? It seemed hot too. And they were performing in the super-shining sun!

very sad.... I've rarely seen Tom not directing the mic at audience during SOWK.

How about during Bedshaped? Did he not direct the mic again at the end part of Bedshaped? (waw-uh-uh~ part)

I hope they have better one during Asia tour.
