Hi All

I wondered if anyone had heard whether the boys will be doing the Little Noise Sessions this year in November?  I don't expect they are as they have done two years in a row and both times had an album to promote.  I just wanted to know if there had been any whispers as I am so desperate to see them in that acoustic setting, even though I am due to give birth on 30th October!  I'm sure that's something I can work around though!!

I've been waiting for AnnieNYC to answer this one for you. She told me that she asked Tim about this after one of the US shows, if they had plans for Union Chapel or similar shows later in the year, he replied that they're 'working on it'. So fingers crossed for an announcement  in the upcoming months. But if it's before your due date, make sure you bring your midwife with you!!!        Kaz xx

 i asked the guys at cherrytree on twitter,and they said it is the hands of the managment and the record label. they even said they had spoken with the band....just thought you should know :-)

Oh My God!!  How exciting!  If they do it, or something very similar I'll HAVE to go, whether I'm due or not!!  If it's middle of November I should be alright (Keane, if you are reading...), although hubby will take some convincing for me to swan off and leave our new baby for the evening!  But when she's older, I'm sure she'll understand!!  Wow, so watch this space then. Thanks very much!!

I asked Richard about this and he said they won't do any more gigs this year after the Canadian tour. When I asked about one-off shows like Union Chapel explicitly, he said as they did it two years in a row, he doesn't think they will be asked again this year. He said "We're done" with live shows this year. They plan to take some time off and go on holiday... I think they diserve it very much.

I have to say I agree, they do need a break, although selfishly I am really disappointed!!  I did wonder if they were going to do it again, as the two times they've done it they've had new material to promote, which wouldn't have been the case this year.  Well, let's hope they do it next year - I shouldn't have any babies popping out of me then so perhaps it's a good thing!!  Thanks for the info

Thanks Intergirl. It would have been weird to do Union Chapel 3 years in a row, but I'd be surprised if there was nothing at all for the rest of the year, maybe something small in London. If not, then my wallet is eternally grateful as I have a whacking great overdraft to pay off! I guess we have to wait until the mini-album in the Spring for more goodies.

I'll be very disappointed if the don't do Union Chapel again this year, it was so amazing last year!

I can understand that they need a good long break now though.

I'm still hoping though and got my fingers crossed!

me 2 sue i did email union chapel and they said as far as they know they dont know if theyb will as yet but will let me know if they do so fingers crossed eh?

LOL i finally found what all this 'union chapel' talk is about! Just the fact that there is a slight possibility (ie hasn't definitely been ruled out) will keep me going through the autumn! xx

Pining for Keane live, I sent off a cheeky query on whether Keane are performing this year at Union Chapel.  I received this reply from music@mencap.org.uk

 Not the reply I wanted, but maybe there's still time for this to change (ever the optimist!)...please...however, we haven't had an official announcement from Keane yet - maybe km.com could let us know for sure?

(There's a deadline for registering for tickets for those still interested in LNS - 13 Oct - which is before the final line-up announcment deadline of 16 Oct.)

They will make an official announcement if they are performing there, however, they won't if they are not. Anyway, thanks for the confirmation.

That's depressing news Jane!  Thanks for letting us know, was really hoping they would be playing.

The final line up for the Little Noise Sessions has now been confirmed, definately no Keane!
