 Woohoo! Richard actually replied to me on Twitter A few days ago he said he was playing the drums on a new track for the mini-album, and I replied with "Playing full drums on a so-called 'more acoustic' album?" as that's what they said in the BTIS interview, that the next album would be more acoustic. Apparently they're talking about the next full album when they mean the acoustic one, as this is what Richard told me: "more acoustic"? no sir! this track kicks.

Yay!! I saw that update, congrats. He also replied to me. I asked him "Hows going the recording of the next mini-album?" cos he tweet that he was playing the drums as RWLover said. He answered : "Tim's just finishing off the last track. sounds ace. mastering in a week.".

Hopefully maybe we have a preview in a few weeks :D

 Yeah I read that too, it means they are basically finished with the album. Maybe we'll get a free track with Christmas?

I'm a bit confuse. After the Mini-Album (and after the Mini-Album Tour), the band are going to recorded the Fouth Album?, or they're going to wait 2 years like Hopes And Fears (2004)-Under The Iron Sea(2006) / Under The Iron Sea(2006)-Perfect Symmetry(2008)?

Nine tracks along sounds to me like this is going to be a full album, and makes me wonder if the mini-album (which I assume would have fewer songs) is still in the works, or if they're going to scrap it for a full album, or if Tim really is talking about the mini-album and there are going to be more songs on it than I expected (yay!).  Whatever, any new Keane stuff coming in the near-ish future is something to look forward to.

That article link from the daily record said that they released the deluxe to H&F on November 30th lol they should get their facts right cos it was November 9th haha unless there's another one we don't know about

Keane are reconding the mini-album or the Fourth Album??????

 Because nine new songs is a full album really. So it would be the Fourth  Album.

 If I remember correctly, I think I've read somewhere that they're gonna do both next year. So in May a mini-album with the K'naan stuff, some remixes and a few new songs, and then at the end of the year a full fourth album. It will be a great year with lots of new Keane songs

Tim said that the 9 songs that they finished have a another sound. Something very different of the past three albums!!!

I'm sure that you're correct. Even though the person witing this article called it the 'fourth album', it's the 'mini-album' Tim is referring to. But with 9 tracks, it's almost  a full album.

So even though this mini album has at least 9 songs or more then it will almost be classed as a full album anyway cos PS had 11 songs. But why don't they just announce something on their own website and confirm the real story instead of all this rumour and speculation. I mean if i were in a band i would want my fans to know what's real and what's not by stating it on my site. But anyway if they are planning on releasing both the mini album as well as their 4th studio album in 2010 then good on them and if it's true about it sounding more acoustic like (or is that meant to be for the mini album? oh it's all so confusing) then it should be interesting to hear what that sounds like.

So we're going with the not-so-mini-album-and-full-album-in-2010 theory?  On the one hand, more songs is always goodgoodgood...but I hope they're not over-doing things.
