Keane never ceases to amaze me, i mean to think these three guys almost didn't make it. It would have been a great disservice to humanity, I'm East Indian, but wow British music is on a whole another level. This song is so pure and such great vocal phrasing with Sovereign Light Cafe, i mean Tim's a genius, how does he keep coming up with these melodies and variations.
And the lyrical content is so innocent and real, it reminds me of childhood so much, and it gives such visual imagery to what these guys did when they were young and how they remember their youth. I mean i am blessed to be living during this time because of bands like Keane, their music is amazing and true. I mean in british voter poll they along with the Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis and one other band, had two albums in the top 20 of all time great British albums. Now that's a hell of a record to be with those other bands.
I can't wait to hear the studio version, but the live is just so good, i can't get it out of my head, i've been telling everybody about this song, even facebooking it. It reminds me of Penny Lane or Strawberry fields forever in its content. What the UK was like when they were growing up... if they're reading this, I thank you guys and keep it up. It gives me something to look forward to for the rest of my life.
