Why does it say that it will be available on 9/11/09 when September 11th has already passed?  I'd love to pre-order one, but we're passed the date already.  ??

In the UK the day comes before the month. It's released on 9th November.

Fly To Me is arguably their best song. Maybe.

    Correct.

It's lovely special Edition of H&F!

But probably I only be able to buy the album, the shirt is beautiful but  expensive for me!

    I can't wait for 09/11/09

    - NintendoFan -:
    Mart:

Hmmm, I'm quite apathetic about this... we've already had one notional re-release of H&F (in the biodegradable packaging), so I did lot out a bit of a groan when I saw the story on the homepage. I'm also not that impressed with the bonus track selection either: too much that's already been released (didn't we already pay for Into The Light? Surely there were plenty of other unreleased tracks from the period that could have been released?). Having said that, it'll be good to finally get "proper" versions of the Zoomorphic tracks and the one-off live A Heart To Hold You out there.

But it feels like a missed opportunity! More focus on demos or alternate versions of the album tracks would be more up my street, as would finally releasing some of the tonnes of old video footage they have... I know Strangers covered a lot of ground on that front, but I'm sure they've got loads more that's never seen the light of day - would be really interesting to get that footage released in some way.

A lot of my complaints are probably because I'm rather a diehard fan and have already bought most of these before, or listened to those radio sessions... so I'm probably being unduly harsh - for the average fan, it'll be a great collection. And despite all my moans, I'll likely still buy a copy because I'm mad. Wink

That pretty much sums it up for me.

And not to belabor price again, but $200 for the deluxe bundle? Wow.

I have to say I agree....I'm not super excited by this. I've already got the H&F album and b-sides; we just had the retrospective EP which had some of this album's contents on it, and I personally don't really care about the live tracks.  Like Mart, I think demos/previously unrealeased stuff from around that time would have been a nice addition or at least a DVD of some sort - a "making of" type of thing would have been spiffy.  My practical side just doesn't see the point in spending $20+ for music I already have...though it's entirely possible that my fan side will win out and ask for it for Christmas anyway.

And I'm sorry but the bundle prices (mainly the deluxe one) are a rip-off.

I don't understand why Fly To Me isn't on it either.

Possibly they're saving FTM for that hypothetical B-sides album they talked about in the BTIS interview?

Re: Hopes and Fears Deluxe Edition

Hmm Mart is pretty spot on.

Although I'm pretty sure I have everything on it, I will ofc buy the CD for my collection and it will be nice to have all the bootleg stuff I have in better quality.

WTF at the silly prices for a T SHIRT!!!! There's a bloody recession on!

It would have been better to have some more unreleased (officially) stuff on there especially Gingerbread and Pot of Gold, it would have got it out there before the videoseconds release (if it ever sees the light of day except on youtube!) Great that they're finally releasing Rubbernecking though.

Edit - when i say silly prices for a t shirt, I meant the whole package. £20 isn't actually that bad for a t shirt!

Could be, but they threw Snowed Under on it.

Lol- sorry have to laugh at this! :D In the UK we have the month after the day, so it reads the 9th of November not the 11th of September! Don't worry, u haven't missed it!

I'd also like to add to the people who r blaming Keane for the poor selection of songs or for not releasing certain material- they probably had very little say in the matter. The record company probably decided this- they may also be saving other material for the 10th or 20th anniversary maybe.

Song of the Decade - Somewhere Only We Know by Keane

Or vote for all the Keane songs!

Well, looks like I'm only getting the regular re-released CD. I can't afford the super duper uper deluxe edition. Who the hell thinks we're all rich to pay $200 (which feels like $200000000 for me right now) for music most diehards already have?

I think that us loyal keane fans should boycott buying the £120 limited edition bundle because they are just trying to exploit money out of us, no one else, just the true loyal die hard keane fans. Its a rip off and whoever came up with that price should be ashamed of themselves. Over a hundred pound for an autographed poster???? no way! not ever!

I'll probably buy it, as I only have a copy that a friend sent me (that's how I got into Keane) and IMO it's one of the best albums ever made, and Keane at their  finest.Big Smile  It also looks quite stylish.

I won't be buying the de-luxe packages. I suppose they may sell a few, but I do think that the people who organise this sort of thing should think of the hundreds of pounds/dollars/euros that some of the fans willingly spend to follow Keane, and keep things to a reasonable price. This is just my opinion, others may (and I'm sure,do) think differently.

Doesn't seem likely. It's something I can only see a diehard fan buying, but most diehard fans already have signed material anyway.

I know it's not reasonable, but it's my birthday in 8 days, so I offered myself the bundle with the poster and the tshirt. I can't wait the release of it ! Smile

Exactly - I prefer autographs which I've got for myself in person - plus I can't afford that price I'm afraid.
