Vi isto na net, agora.  Parece que anda aí uma polémica com a partilha de musica online..onde está metida a Lily Allen.. e os Keane ja vieram falar podem ler aqui :

Já Tim Rice-Oxley, o principal compositor dos Keane, é mais diplomático:«acho que a acção mais vital para nós neste momento é assegurar que os 'artistas', sejam associados à FAC ou não, se apresentem numa só frente com uma mensagem única e simples».

E depois fui ao tal blog...e tem la post de cantores e isso.. e dois dos 'testamentos' qe estão lá são do Tim e do Tom !

Já tinha ouvido falar dessa "guerra" que de alguma maneira a Lilly Allen lançou. Ler a opinião do Tim e do Tom sobre o assunto foi muito interessante.

Esta é uma questão complicada...Como combater a pirataria? Será que vale a pena combatê-la?

Houve uma banda conhecida que colocou o álbum no site para download gratuito e cada um dava o que queria. Se Keane fizesse isso, tenho a certeza de que haveria muito gente disposta a contribuir. O que são €10,00 ou €20,00, que é o que custa um álbum, quando pensamos nas horas infindáveis que passamos a ouvir as músicas da banda?

Falo por mim: neste momento, se dividisse  valor que paguei pelo álbum Hopes And Fears pelo número de vezes que ouvi temas do seu alinhamento, diria que cada canção me ficava por €0,001. Percebes a ideia?

We've just finished another great tour, the last of this album cycle, but I've got one more trip planned - I'm heading to Washington D.C,, then to Georgia to visit Troy Davis on death row. I'm going with Alistair Carmichael MP and a representative of Amnesty International. I'll be keeping another photoblog here, so you can follow the trip. I know a lot of Keane fans have signed up to Amnesty's petition, and I am very grateful. With luck Troy will soon be a free man, and the world will be one step closer to finally banning Capital Punishment.

We're very pleased to announce the full international release of a 2CD Deluxe Edition of Keane's first album, Hopes And Fears, on 9th November 2009.

In addition to the original tracklisting, this album showcases previously un-released and rare material including early demo Into The Light, recordings from the band’s earliest Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley radio sessions, the timeless B-side and fans' favourite, Snowed Under (from Somewhere Only We Know), and their debut self-released singles.
 
The sleevenotes have been penned by long-time supporter Steve Lamacq. In them, he describes the first time he saw them at the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town: “There were only three of them but they sounded huge. They were independent of mind but definitely accessible”.

The Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order now from the Keane official store, alongside bundles containing a new T-shirt featuring the classic CP70 print. We are also pleased to offer a very limited edition deluxe bundle, featuring the album, the T-shirt and a Hopes And Fears CP70 art print, signed by the band. Only 150 of these prints were made.

Hello folks. In a quiet moment at km.com HQ today, we were wondering what the best ever mashup track to feature Keane is (a mashup being a track which mixes two completely different songs together). So we thought we'd ask you for your suggestions - as you folks know everything about Keane.

Here are some decent contenders which we found:

Keane vs Kelis: Bossy We Know
 

 Keane vs Janet Jackson: Someone To Call Any Wonder

Keane vs Chicane: Wake Up (this was an official release, but it still sort of counts)

That should give you an idea of the sort of thing we're talking about. Now, please post your own mashup suggestions/discoveries in the comments below (ideally with a link to a sound clip or video featuring the mashup).

We'll check them out, then perhaps we can have a vote and decide, officially, what the best Keane mashup is.
