This is a thread for sharing those special gig moments, when you were there and you felt so caught up in a moment that you never wanted it to end. (Extra special moments-of course Keane are always special!!) For me it was during the UIS tour of the Uk, at the O2 in London. I was just blown away by the opening music, which was 'The Iron Sea'. It was such an epic opening, and I've not seen another gig by any other bands, where I was so emotionally overwhelmed by the sound.

What I loved about that particular gig was TITLT and the way everyone stood up and it seemed as if they were going to clap forever at the end. Oh, and being taken aback when TIS flowed into EC rather than PIBY, which was what we'd heard so many times during that tour.

That gig has really imprinted on my mind for some reason, even though I have loved the others I've been to. There was an intimacy to it, maybe because it was around the time that Tom was still quite vulnerable, having come through a difficult year. This what is so special about seeing music live-you get to feel the energy of the musicians much more. I will always love UTIS as this was my first ever Keane gig and I'd only heard UTIS a few times then. I must have listened to it 5000 times now...

 The gig in Winterthur in August was IN-CRE-DI-BLE. We shouted so much that Keane had to wait two minutes between EVERY SONG. Best gig I've been to so far.

And Tim noticed our WOOs for Spiralling at each gig we brought them to. Great to see him laugh at the view of our work. In Paris Tom showed up his thumb in aprecitaion, too. Great, grea moment.

That was so great Marina, I remember that in the O2! I have some great moments in my head too... listening to Snowed Under in Brighton was so special, this is one of my fave Keane songs and I just never had imagined that I would hear it live someday, just amazing. I also remember that at the second night of the O2 this year (that was the best gig of my life, they didn't seem real ), Tom was so happy that suddenly he just started to shake everybody's hands (OMG including mine) in the front row asking everyone "How are you doing??", oh he made us truly happy lol. And listening BBH in this same gig was awesome too, Tom saying "Mr. Jesse Quiiin", I love this song, it really meant a lot to me. Here in Brazil Tom, in one of those amazing moments between him and the crowd, just said "this is the heart of the world", I'll never forget it. Also here in Brazil, one month after the O2 gigis, Rich recognized me and my friend cause we always bring our flowers (they are not real :P) to the gigs , so I guess that it helped him to remember. He looked at us kinda...  and said "hey aren't you those girls that we met...? and we said yessssssss that's us! Great moments...

I still remember the moment. And I was surprised at the reaction around me during TITL. First I thought I was in a different country or place. lol

I think my finest moment is Tom's banter and Bedshaped at Tokyo gig on 24/April/2009. The gig was intimate and warm, and no one wanted it to end, then Tom said that they would come back this summer. Then we sung along Bedshaped. This is a cliche but that was a moment that I thought we connected. XD My favourite song at a Keane gig is Bedshaped, although it's the last song they play at every gig (except a few occasions.)

It's great hearing all those moments when people were able to make direct connection with the band from the front of the audience. That must be so amazing. I also thought of the last gig I went to, at the O2 in Feb, when I heard the live version of YHTMA. I couldn't believe it!! The keyboard effects!! The visuals!!! Stunning.

The performance of This Is The Last Time in the O2 Arena is just epic. I think it is definitely my favourite Keane moment ever...

listening to Snowed Under in Brighton was so special,

It was even more special to me in London coz the very first time I came to London, I listened to Snowed Under something like 150 times in two weeks. So in my mind, I link Snowed Under to London and the best vacations of my life. And hearing it live at the O2... Wow. It made me cry my heart out.
