Bit late at reporting it, but the concert was absolutely sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Gary was having way too much fun, hehe. Iain Archer and Duke Special were supporting, both of whom were superb, but most of the crowd couldn't really get into them and there were even some jerks laughing at Iain The highlights of the show would have to be You Could Be Happy, Make This Go On Forever, Shut Your Eyes (where Gary did a Freddie Mercury and got everyone to sing the chorus at different volumes at his command) Set The Fire To The Third Bar, The Golden Floor, How to Be Dead, Run, An Olive Grove Facing The Sea, Gary doing a mini cover of Teenage Kicks, Take Back The City and towards the end when they played the whole of The Lightning Strike. A big screen was pulled down in front of the stage at the start of TLS, onto which they projected the most amazing graphics - the whole crowd had died down, because they were so mesmerized by it. Hands Open would've been awesome if this asshat hadn't sauntered right in front of me and knocked into everyone right through it When I got home I had the strangest compulsion to make little origami stars and suns like those on the album art and hang them around my room... Overall, it was the bees knees and everyone should be immensely jealous of me

I'm going to see them in September when they open for U2 in Boston! I thought I was excited to see U2, but when I heard that SP was opening I cried tears of joy (well, not really but it was close)! I was this close to going and seeing them a couple summers ago, but my friend who I was supposed to go with pulled out just before tickets went on sale and I couldn't find anyone else at last minute. I can't drive and live over 200 miles from San Francisco so she was my only hope! It was the biggest bummer of the year.

Having not been a fan of Snow Patrols last 2 albums, this is wetting my appetite to go and see them again!
| Snow Patrol are delighted to announce a very special UK and Ireland tour that will take place in November and December 2009.
‘Snow Patrol Reworked’ is a live celebration featuring highlights from the bands 15 year career to date and will feature a selection of Snow Patrol and Reindeer Section songs reinvented by the Patrol, additional musicians and many special guests.
The Reworked tour offers a chance to look back on the early days of their career as well as giving fans the opportunity to hear their work interpreted in a brand new way. The unique shows will also encompass the songs of the Reindeer Section - a collection fronted by Gary Lightbody and featuring members of Belle & Sebastian, Idlewild and Teenage Fanclub among many others.
Each ticket to the Reworked tour comes with a free Live download of the incredible ‘Lightning Strike’, the epic trilogy that mesmerised fans nationwide.
Tour dates are:
Tickets for these shows will go on sale to the general public on Thursday 27th August at 9am. However SP.com are offering their hardcore fans the chance to purchase tickets early via mySP on SnowPatrol.com.
You can access pre-sale tickets from Wednesday 19th August at 9am by clicking here.
Excited...So are we!

Was so happy to see Oasis cancel yesterday at V and for Snow Patrol to headline instead. Wouldve loved Keane on the main stage but Gary was incredible. loved the way he seemed overawed at the response they got, the way he forgot the words on Spitting Games, when he dedicated Run to Elbow and my fave - Chasing Cars!!!!! Was well deserved

I just got Up To Now + DVD. Wow I love that DVD! The three new songs are also very nice. It also contains three video's (Open Your Eyes, The Lightning Strike and You're All I Have) from the Pinkpop festival. Since I was there it brings back great memories.
EDIT: on the http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl/ website is a registration of the secret gig they did in Amsterdam (scroll down).
