when you follow a band as much as i follow keane, its inevitable not to look at those guys setting the stage up, tuning the piano, placing the set list, trying the drums... soon you start to know their names, you follow them on twitter for the extra gossip, you might even have an occasional chat, you see them in pictures in the band's blogs, and they become a familiar feature in everything the band do.
Scott was certainly not just a crew but a friend for the band and other crew, and a very kind dude to all of us crazy fans.
thank you scotty for my drumstick at the 02 arena. for the flowers from richard's drum at union chapel, for all the set lists, for being nice in brum when a friend needed to leave pressies for richard you made sure he got them. and so many other silly things that for us, sometimes, means a lot.
Rest in peace.
my thoughts with his family, friends and the band :(
"On Wednesday we did a big Radio 2 show... It was one of those occasions when we all felt inexplicably nervous, but i spotted a gang of loyal boardies singing away in the front row, which was a nice boost."
