The instant I saw the title, I thought "this must be about Tim and his baby", I haven't even heard it yet!!! I can't find it, I am impaired evidently... *hides under a rock*
The Second Amendment states-
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
I wonder how many gun owners belong to a State Militia....

Oh, come on! IT is the most wonderful thing in the whole wide world!!! I think Tim must be a brilliant father, and the Mrs. must be quite fabulous herself! I hope TRO &MrsRO & LilRO know how much we love them and wish them every happiness!! It just douses me with joy to think of Tim with his lil one and Mrs. <3<3<3

Aww its such a great sound/vibe it builds and builds then it has a wonderful epic noise that engulfs you, quite something for an intially quiet song from the start. Generally im not overly into fathoming a songs meaning etc etc but I also think this could be a father/daughter song (then again knowing Keane it could be 3yrs old!) it has a "protective" feel to it like TNS it has a hopefull/cautionary air to it. Tom really can mould his voice to anything.
 Hitch a star to mine?

One of the best Keane songs I've ever heard. It's Keane pure style plus it reminds us Colplay and U2, especially in the final part (the "oohhhss").
The melody is beautiful and Tom's voice is intense, mature.
I agree, it may be a song dedicated to a special daughter...

The lyrics " We won't be leaving on the same road that we came by" remind me of bedtime stories that my mum read to me... Peter Pan and The Little Prince
Peter Pan says " To die would be an awfully big adventure"... and the little prince had to die so that he could travel through space and go back home. Maybe My Shadow is a haunting fairy tale song dedicated to Tim's child... or the spirit of children and the people that care for them. It may also be a song about Keane's guardian angel Cherry Keane. *Rest in peace, lovely Cherry*

what a beautiful song! i can't get enough of it! i'm am totally under its spell! at the moment i'm not a big fan of the oooooo's, they seem out of place to me. tom's voice is right on the money, to me makes the song come alive..... just shine a light on me....

It was a leak - that's been put on there by a fan, just as its been put on the likes of YouTube. Again, as with Love is The End, its surprising that Universal aren't trying to get it taken down... maybe they're just further embarrassed by their mistake.
