I just love it! It's sonically simple and quiet but awesome. Just like the old Keane style I fell in love with. Thanks Jill and Emily for sharing this one with me!! ^^

Unless I'm way off, which is plausible as I lack in instrumental expertise.  But there's a distinct sound in the background.

I jacked the volume up on my headphones and I heard what you're talking about....but I can't tell what it is! And now it's going to drive me nuts.   It almost sounds like a clicking; like a click track or something, but I can't tell if it's that, reverb from the piano, a guiro, or maybe even a cabasa ,

(and on a geeky side note I saw one attached to a kick drum pedal - very spiffy as I'd never seen that before). Anyways, I may be entirely wrong on all those guesses, but I do hear it.

 I agree about the backing vocals/harmony.  I love the "Oooh, Ooh-Ooh"s, and the harmony is awsome!!<3

I do think it has everything to do with more people. There is three part harmony! YAY!  With the new sounds of the harmony and bass, I don't know how anyone could doubt Jesse's value and how he fits in the band so seamlessly.  I don't know what his plans are, but at least we will have him for this tour!

I can't stop listening - this song has regained my daughter as a Keane fan!

She has been enjoying The Lovers Are Losing, and Love Is The End, too- but My Shadow had her singing along by the second listen, and she replayed it herself, not me!<3

Did tim write this song or was it tom, because it sound like a song that tom wanted to let out his feeling from when he was on the drugs.
