I know what you mean Innez and I feel the same. I'm trying not to think a lot about it at the moment because it kinda makes me a little bit worried too. Anyway, I guess we should trust Tim, he's going to find a way.

    innez:

What I'm going to say may seem weird, I don't think this is even a confession, is more of a 'worry'...It's about Mt. Desolation. I saw it in their official blog that they've anounced lots of tour dates, and...I'm just a bit worried that this might consume a lot of Tim's and Jesse's (although Jesse's not an official Keane member) time and I'm afraid of what it might do to Keane, as they'd said (I think) that they would go to studio after Keane's tour.. I don't know, this may be stupid but it just scared me a little, and I'd just like to know your opinion about it..

Well we all know Tim's a workaholic....  But seriously, I don't think it's a big issue.  It's just a side project, another creative outlet for Tim (and Jesse) away from the "constraints" of Keane.

They way Tom says 'kill' in Back In Time reminds me of Achmed the dead terrorist.

^To be honest, lyrics with the words such as "kill," "blind" and so on, don't sound impressive to me.

Saw this thread and after much hesitation, decided to join in :]

I got to meet Jesse, Richard, and Tim about a month ago after seeing them in Minneapolis. Whenever we had waited in line, I sketched out this horrid picture in purple and green pen (horrids not a good word, maybe just not very good...). I wrote a quick qoute form 'Staring at the Ceiling' next to the sketch. Whenever I met the members, I asked them to sign the picture as sort of a 'This is what i did on this dy in history' sort of dorko deal. I was absolutly shy and meek when it came to meeting Tim, I really think his lyrics are fantastic. I asked for him to sign and he did. After he handed it back to me I took a glance at the picture and noticed that the lyric was wrong. Instead of writing 'Thinking of a place you've never seen before' I had written 'Thinking of a place you've never been before'. I was in shock and couldn't believe that I had just asked my favorite lyrisist to sign a picture with his botched lyric next to it. I couldn't help but think 'oh bog! he must think I'm an idiot!'. Obviously I laugh about it now, I doubt he noticed or at least I hope he didn't, my sister made fun of me for days because of how overdramatic I was about it. -_-

"I guess all i can say is, how the hell am i going to get you all to shut up so we can start the song?"

Yeah no worries, I'm sure he didn't notice it too, it happens and he'd never think you're an idiot, I guess that you probably made him really happy :).

I saw them May 16 2009 in chicago and the crowd was nuts (fantastic) and kept screaming and wouldn't give Tom the chance to speak. It was hilariousBig Smile

True Confession: Richard is going to be on my 2010 holiday card. (Also reported in the obsessions thread).

True Confession: I've been listening to my iPod in the car of late and skipping the Keane songs (except my faves) because I listen to them soooo much at home.

True Confession: MY FLAG IS READY TO MAIL!!!

Re: Our Late Night Keane Confessions!

I just happened to read the lyrics of the chorus for EC, somehow I find it irony, when the band is trying so hard to change musically.

So little time, try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing and I don't feel the same

EC is my most favourite song on H&F.

    "muse-ic",

I don't mean to be rude. Since our backgrounds are so different I hope you don't mind me using my freedom of speech to say I totally agree with you and EC is my favorite song on H&F also. I don't care who you are, or how intelligent your opinion regarding your taste in music is, EC says something to everyone.  Zip it!

I don't think you two got the point of my post, I was being sarcastic toward the band. Do I need to explain it?

Maybe you could ask yourself why you felt the need to voice it when no one wasn't mentioning about you or your posts here. I could copy and paste your own post as my reply to you. And you forgot to add that freedom comes with responsibility.
