I loved them in the 80s....they came in concert here (in the 80s) and I had 2nd row tickets then the concert was cancelled for poor ticket sales :(  I even still  have all my old A-ha and Duran Duran posters!!

I havent listened to them in so long...what songs do they have that are new that I should check out???

Well, some of my new favourites are (from newest to oldest): "Analogue", "Celice", "Don't do me any favours", "Forever not yours", "Lifelines", "Time & Again", "Little black heart", "Velvet", "Summer moved on"...

Now that love is nothing...and nothing really matters..

Chris Martin singing a song with Mags:

This was during their Coldplay gig in Oslo, Sentrum, yesterday!

I remember Chris singing Hunting High and Low before in Oslo.. he should keep it in the setlist so he can practice on the lyrics and play it for all the other audiences in the world. Now that would be fabulous publicity for our Norwegian giants. Stick out tongue

He sure needs to practise the lyrics as he keeps messing them up (but then again...so does Morten Wink). When is he gonna learn it is 'WITHIN the reach of my hand and not BEYOND the reach of my hand?!!

And today my heart has 2 pieces: One side A-ha, and the other side Keane. Big Smile

      A-ha -> Broken Heart <- Keane

I know what you mean !!! (I guess you can tell by my nickname...) I must admit the Keane part of my heart is a little bigger than the A-ha part though.

But I do love A-ha and I have ever since I first heard 'Take on me' which must have been October 1985.

I've seen them live (head-lining show) in Rotterdam (86), Edinburgh (88), Leeds (88), Cologne(88), The Hague (91), Utrecht (02), Oberhausen (02), Amsterdam (02), Amsterdam (05) and Fredrikstad (07). And met the guys MANY times between 1986 and 2007.

My fave A-ha songs include: White Canvas, Cosy Prisons, Analogue, Scoundrel Days, I've been losing you, The blood that moves the body, The sun always shines on TV, Hunting high and low, The swing of things, There's never a forever thing, You'll never get over me, Thought that it was you, Summer moved on, Lifelines, Forever not yours, Don't do me any favours, Solace etc. etc.

There are quite a few A-ha songs I HATE as well though (Like from the last album 'Over the treetops' and 'Halfway through the tour' which I always skip. And I really can't stand the live version of 'The living daylights' mainly because of the sing-a-long which annoys the hell out of me.).I'm not too fond of Touchy, You are the one and Cry Wolf either. Way too commercial!!

I love Morten's latest solo album as well. Especially 'With you with me'!!!

Hello Kea-hane, I loved your nickname.

Well, my favorite album is HUNTING HIGH AND LOW, then STAY ON THESE ROADS, then EAST OF THE SUN, WEST OF THE MOON. I confess that I hate the album MEMORIAL BEACH (I like Move to Memphis) and ANALOGUE, and song titled the album that is the only one that can hear.
You have very lucky to have been so many times with them. I still hope to go to a show of the three.

I hope you can understand my poor English.

I don't HATE it but it's my least favourite A-ha album. I love 'Dark is the night for all' and 'Move to Memphis' though. 'Lie down in darkness' and 'How sweet it was' are just OK. Not too fond of the rest although I must admit hearing 'Lamb to the slaughter' live in Fredrikstad was quite enjoyable.

I saw an AHA LP in the record shop today, bargain at £3.00 did not recognise it.    Just googled it and it was this one.... http://www.a-ha.com/MUSIC/discography/CD/AHA_albumMemorialBeach.aspx

Can't say I recognise one of them....

Memorial Beach for £3? Worth it for the title track alone. This is probably their least commercial album, but I think one of their best (not my very favourite though). Most of it's quite dark, gently melancholy.

I was 11 when I first heard Take On Me and immediately (even before Morten started singing I think!) decided I was an a-ha fan. On all their albums, there is not a single track I don't like. Most of them I love to bits.

I love a-ha and have been a fan since I was 12 or 13 (I'm 35 now...).  Somehow I never managed to see them live, which is a shame :-(  I really hope they come back on tour somewhere in central Europe soon.  I've seen that they have announced three gigs for the UK in November, so I set my hopes on a full tour through the rest of Europe...

Jessica !!! I forgot all about seeing you in this thread ! And Wayne too. So many people I met in the UK and I never realized we had more in common than just Keane.

Who's going to see A-ha in the O2? I'm tempted to go. I wish Keane would do something in the same week though so I could combine it in one trip....

Here's the dates for those of you who don't know yet:

    Re: A-ha

Can someone please confirm the dates in November and also times cos somhow i doubt the shows will start at 11am. They usually are in the evening so i don't know why Kea-hane has them as 11am. And also when do they go on sale anyway? And from which site and how much are the tix does anyone know? And why only 3 dates and none in Scotland, surely this can't be an official tour can it, a normal tour usually consists of more than 3 dates don't they?

I think the 11am/ 11:30am is when the tickets went on sale on the dates in March listed. Not sure about the actual concert times. Maybe these are just the UK dates for a world tour or something? They could still have included one in Scoland though.

Well you guys could just have taken a chance and browse outside KM.com. Wink www.a-ha.com is your friend:

It's been confirmed that a-ha will be playing three dates in the UK this November as part of their 2009 European Tour in support of their forthcoming album. More dates will be announced as they are confirmed.

I hope they do Glasgow again soon cos my sis wants to see them again and i said i'd go with her. As long as tickets are not too expensive.

Stay On These Roads is still my fav of theirs. I'd love to hear that live again.

    Re: A-ha

Spanking new A-ha single prelisten from today on! Foot Of The Mountain: http://universalmusic.no/ecards/aha/

    Single cover: http://www.universalmusic.no/files/a-ha_foot_of_the_mountain.jpg

I like the chorus, tho most of it is pretty similar to Magne's song The Longest Night off his 2008 solo-album A Dot Of Black In The Blue Of Your Bliss (yeh, no kidding). So I'm a little dissapointed, it's getting old.. using stuff off of their previously released solo-material.

But anyway, it's pretty darn cool to hear something from the guys.
