I personally only started liking A-Ha after they reunited in 2000 for the album "Minor Earth Major Sky". I strongly believe that the album's lead single, "Summer Moved On" is their career-defining single. If you have not heard this, you really are missing something. I live in the US and it is unfortunate that here, they are still perceived as a relic of the 80s and the average American listener has not moved past "Take On Me" (I don't even like this song that much!).
Their new single, "Foot of the mountain" shows that the band is back in top form. Wicked song. Wicked music video. For the A-Ha fans on this forum, please vote for 'Foot of the mountain" on "Radio Creme Brulee" (http://www.radiocremebrulee.com) - a Boston internet radio station that showcases current pop/rock music from both sides of the Atlantic alongside guilty pleasures, forgotten gems, and radio hits from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Voting for the song basically implies clicking on the "thumbs up" button next to the song on the radio player when it is played. Incidentally, Keane's music is also a regular staple on this station. I figured I'd mention this since we are after all, on a Keane music forum.
For A-Ha fans, please check out their "Royal Albert Hall" performance of "Shadowside" - another brilliant track off the new album. Earlier, someone posted something about new songs worth checking out by A-Ha. Here is the list:
Summer Moved On (their best song ever!)
Lifelines
Cosy Prisons
