Slave to Love by Bryan Ferry, The Promise by When in Rome, and How Soon Is Now? by The Smiths.  For something NOT from the 80s, Teach Me Tiger by April Stevens, if only to hear Tom's rendition of "wah wah wah wah wah," teehee.

I have to agree with Teach Me Tiger, now I can hear him doing that in my head but the real thing would be amazing hehe Embarrassed

    Songs Keane Should Cover

Hey! I do not know if there is already a thread on this subject, if there is, please move it to it's proper place.

I was watching Keane's video IN BERLIN. Towards the end, Tom sings Nessun Dorma composed by Puccini. I think he should cover that song. Just him playing it on the piano. I know it's not very Keane-like at all, but he has an amazing voice and I think he would do a magnificent cover of it. Plus it's actually my favorite song in the world.

Tom should also cover Let It Be.

Again, he's got an fantastic voice! I love listening to him sing! Bravo, Tommy!

    When I'm far away from,
    The places we've known.
    Will all your love bring

Yeah, friarpark225. My choices aren't very Keane-ish either. But I am thinking that if they could do "Perfect Symmetry" I don't see what would stop them from doing covers of:

"Holding Back the Years" by Simply Red
"La Vida es un Ratico" by Juanes
"This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush
    "when does cry..."

I second Holding back the years.

Also, would like to add High and dry - Radiohead. This time not just because of Tom's voice, but more because I'm curious as to how they would replace the guitars with piano and synth :D

It seems like one of those exciting covers, like With or without you-I love the simple piano arrangement in that one.

*Is simplicity best,or simply the easiest...*

While watching Queen live at Wembley some minutes ago, it just occurred to me, that Radio GaGa would be a brilliant song to cover for them!

     Nuff said!

Indeed! Radio GaGa would be brilliant!

A question of time by Depeche Mode also would be really good!

I was watching Paladia HD the other night, and an Eagles video came on..............Desperado, and I was thinking...............hmmmm, Tom sure could do that song some more justice!  Tim, Richard and Jesse would  REALLY have to get some harmony just right though!!!  But it's do-able for sure!

Sometimes, one must travel the rough road in order to reach one's ultimate destination.

This made me smile... Desperado is my go to song for karaoke... and yes, they would do a great cover... with a little reworking to make it more "Keane." Stick out tongue

'You've Got It' my favourite Simply Red song, and I think it would suit Tom's voice perfectly.

I would love to hear Keane playing Make It Mine from Jason Mraz. That song always makes me very happy.
