Oddly...  I got an email from Sandbag this AM saying they took so long cause they were looking for a replacement for me...  I can exchange it, send it back and be refunded postage...

It's early to feel relieved. They said to me that they would send the correct goods and refund postage for returning the wrong one. They didn't. I was a fool to believe what they said. I think it's better to wait until they inform you that they have a replacement ready for shipping. (which I didn't.) As you've already noticed, you need a receipt of postage as a proof. (which I did, and e-mailed the copy to them, but no reply. Maybe it's better to inform them an estimated cost of the postage before sending it to them? They might say it's too expensive to refund, even it's standard airmail.)

I did received the refund, but wrong amount. Of course it was lesser than my ordered amount. No replacement or refund on the returning postage. I don't care because the amount was small, but I really don't want to be bothered with them - never again.

    Good luck.

Sad  I sent it out today before seeing this.  I had planned on emailing them a scan of the postage receipt though.  I'm in the US, so I expect to either lose or gain a bit with varying exchange rate.  But it won't make a difference if I don't get anything back at all...

Awww don't give up on it, maybe mine was the only bad example. I think there are some improvements in their website. I hope they are learning from past, but what I wanted to say is that you can't feel assured by them until you have the replacement and the refund. They are not likely to e-mail you an update, so you need to keep in touch with them from your side. Smile

To tell you the truth, I was annoyed because your previous post you wrote "they [Sandbag] took so long cause they were looking for a replacement". They have stocks. Why were they looking for, a "particular" replacement? They sent the improper material so let get it fixed now.

Well I had requested an unopened LP, wrapped in plastic, like UTIS was and they said the supplier (so they don't have it on hand???) that gives them the records doesn't have them wrapped.  So I assumed they needed to contact them and that they'd try to get me one wrapped in plastic?  Honestly at this point I don't care if it's open as long as it's scratch free.  I don't even care if it's covered in finger prints cause they had to inspect it.

I see. Would you post the result of this issue? I may start ordering to them if there is an improvement (although I don't think I will.)

I wish/hope that they get the mens navy or green track jacket in a medium size back in stock soon cos i can really do with another one. I emailed them to ask but they said to just keep checking the shop for it. So looks like i'll have to wait.

I ordered both the Perfect Symmetry and Under The Iron Sea LPs.  Long story short.  The PS LP had a huge scratch on it, almost the entire radius.

    Snip, snip.

Well I received a replacement LP.  It, like the other has a scratch, significantly smaller, but none the less a scratch.  Also like the other, it has what I like to call swirly scuff marks.  Once again, not wrapped in plastic.  I suspect a batch of them, if not all are in the same condition, so why bother with a replacement?  I have yet to be reimbursed the shipping, but then again, I haven't emailed them that I received the record.  I honestly don't know how I want to deal with the situation.  At this point, although I'm unhappy, I don't want to deal with it anymore.

I really don't think I'll buy anything from them any time soon.  Certainly not LPs.

Valentine roses piano I've just ordered Hopes and Fears deluxe edition from the shop. I know I could have got that cheaper at Play.com HMV etc. but it just did'nt seem right somehow! Smile I guess I'm a mug, but I like to support Keane whenever I can.  It's such a wonderful CD, that I feel it's worth the extra, and I've always had good service from Sandbag.
